In some parts, the railway came out of order; utility poles and parts of the railway ended up in the river.
As a result of the collapse of the road, the road leading to the town’s new cemetery has been blocked.
The water current carried away a part of the Akhtala bridge, and the other part was damaged.
The cleaning works are underway in the center of the town․ The equipment is operating in the area of the Alaverdi Bus Station; the rescuers are carrying out washing works.
Large amounts of food, flour, water, and bread are being stored to help people.
The needs of the families have been assessed according to the number of family members. If needed, people have also been provided with hygiene products, baby food and diapers.
