Azerbaijan again abducted residents of Artsakh. 22-year-old
Alen Sargsyan and a group of people from Artsakh were crossing the illegal
Lachin checkpoint under the supervision of the Russian peacekeepers. The
Azerbaijanis separated Alen and other young people from the group.
The Artsakh ombudsman stated that five people were
interrogated at the checkpoint. Alen Sargsyan was taken to an unknown
destination. Two people were released. As for the other two boys, the Armenian
side has not managed to establish contact with them yet.
They are students; they were leaving for Yerevan to continue
their studies. Witnesses told ABC Media that before the arrest, the
Azerbaijanis brutally beat one of the boys.
This is nothing but a form of people’s emotional abuse and
infringement of their rights.
