Although the talks held yesterday between the Russian,
Azerbaijani and Armenian foreign ministers were not uncomplicated, they proved
fruitful. Chair of the Federation Council Committee on Foreign Affairs Grigory
Karasin made a Telegram post on this.
“Despite the difficulties arising in the process of
negotiations on the peace treaty that would protect rights and ensure security
of Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh within the context of the territorial
integrity of Azerbaijan, the meeting held in Moscow was much-needed and timely.
The sides agreed to continue their work at the level of
deputy prime ministers and channel the efforts of tripartite groups into the
unblocking of transport links. An agreement was reached to facilitate
communication between political scientists and civil society. The possibility
of tripartite parliamentary dialogue was also discussed,” Karasin wrote.
