Deputy secretary of the Russian Security Council: “Trump’s Route” is absolutely economically ineffective

Western countries continue their attempts to destabilize the situation in Eurasia, and the CSTO and SCO should become the foundation for forming an architecture of indivisible security in the Eurasian space, stated Deputy Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Alexey Shevtsov.
According to him, the deteriorating economic situation does not stop Western countries from trying to destabilize the Eurasian macro-region. At the same time, their goals remain unchanged: control over resources and logistical flows.

He noted that alongside the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, there is another example—the so-called “Trump’s Route” on the territory of Armenia.

“It is absolutely economically ineffective—even under the most favorable projected conditions, its payback period will be at least 30 years,” Shevtsov said.
He emphasized that in 2025, NATO countries conducted more than 100 military exercises, most of them on the eastern flank.

“Under these conditions, the CSTO and SCO—key mechanisms for ensuring regional security and cooperation—continue to implement a set of decisions to strengthen stability in Eurasia,” Shevtsov stated.

He noted that interaction within the CSTO and SCO can and should serve as the basis for forming an architecture of equal and indivisible security in the Eurasian space.

“This is a very good platform for alignment and ensuring security—not only in a military format, but rather even in an economic one. Recent events clearly demonstrate that goals cannot be achieved by military force alone. This is also evidenced by the military operation of the US and Israel against Iran, where Iran showed that it can impact the entire world, making this no longer a regional issue, but a matter of global security,” Shevtsov said.
