Netanyahu has been seeking meeting with Trump for weeks, CNN reports

Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu has been trying for weeks to arrange a meeting with US President Donald Trump, CNN writes, citing sources familiar with the matter.

“Netanyahu has been trying for weeks to arrange a face-to-face meeting with Trump, but no date has been set yet,” the publication says.

As noted, Netanyahu and Trump have not met in person since February, although they have remained in regular contact by phone.

Netanyahu is also considering the possibility of meeting Trump next week during the funeral of Senator Lindsey Graham.
