Iran signals readiness to expand gas exports to Armenia, Mehr says
Tehran and Yerevan have agreed to establish a joint expert working group to expand energy cooperation, Iran’s Mehr news agency reports, referring to the July 25 meeting in Tehran between Iranian Petroleum Minister Mohsen Paknejad and Armenian Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Davit Khudatyan.
The Iranian side also proposed a new commercial framework to increase natural gas exports to Armenia.
The sides discussed a broad range of potential energy projects, including expanding bilateral trade, exporting technical and engineering services, building an oil refinery, and supplying Armenia with petroleum products.
