The US has withdrawn its troops from Iraq, concluding a 12-year operation against ISIS

The US military operation “Inherent Resolve” in Iraq has officially concluded, as announced by the United States Central Command (CENTCOM). According to available information, on September 30, US troops departed the air base in Erbil, Iraq, thereby bringing the “Inherent Resolve” operation to an end.

Reports indicate that the operation’s headquarters is now located in Jordan and will continue the fight against the terrorist organization ISIS in Syria from there.

It is noted that up to 1,500 US and coalition military personnel had been participating in the fight against ISIS at the Erbil air base.
