US State Department denies news of military document conclusion with Armenia in Brussels

The press service of the U.S. Department of State responded to the claims of the Azerbaijani media that a military document was signed during the April 5 Brussels meeting between Armenia, the U.S. and the EU. Some media outlets even published a photo of the “document”.

“This document is pure disinformation; security issues were not on the agenda. We call on them to study our joint press release with the EU and Armenia on the results of the tripartite meeting held in Brussels on April 5. The Brussels meeting with the EU and Armenia focused exclusively on Armenia’s economic resilience—as the country works to diversify its trade partnerships and address humanitarian needs—as well as on supporting Armenia’s ongoing reforms, including in such areas as democracy and the rule of law,” the State Department said.
