Rybar: In Armenia, prices of gas and electricity will go up, the price of bread will increase five times, if the leadership acting against the interests of Armenians withdraws from the EAEU

The economic situation in Armenia is not yet critical, but amid the rapidly deepening political crisis, it may deteriorate sharply without the possibility of further improvement. Rybar wrote this, giving a comprehensive analysis of what could happen to Armenia in the event of its exit from the EAEU. “The fact that the current leadership of Armenia fulfills the wishes of the Western elites and acts against the interests of the Armenian people is usually left out of context. This could clearly be seen from the Karabakh events, from the constant pressure on the Russian peacekeeping troops and border guards, as well as the protests in Tavush Province,” Rybar writes. If Armenia withdraws from the EAEU, the price of gas will increase from $165 to $464 per 1,000 cubic meters; the price of electricity will almost double; inflation will reach a rate of 35%; the price of bread will increase five times; the dram’s exchange rate against the U.S. dollar will drop by about 50%; the GDP will shrink by 7%.

“The leadership of Armenia must make every effort to ward off an economic disaster. But we must clearly understand that it does not act in the interests of the Armenian people. The leaders of Armenia are under the strict control of Western curators, and the British and their Turkish vassals are interested in the collapse of Armenia as a state, the usurpation of its territory and natural resources. The population of Armenia is only standing in their way,” reads the article.
