Russian and Iranian presidents meet
The negotiations between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian have ended. The talks lasted about an hour, Spokesperson for the Russian President Dmitry Peskov said.
Pezeshkian noted that relations between Iran and Russia are strategic and sincere. Russian President Vladimir Putin has announced that he intends to hold talks with the president of Iran at the BRICS summit to be held in Kazan in October. Tehran expressed hope that it will sign a comprehensive strategic partnership agreement with Moscow at the BRICS summit to be held in Kazan.
Putin invited Pezeshkian to Russia; the invitation was accepted. The Russian leader added that Russia and Iran are actively working in the international arena, and often their views on various events coincide.
