Israeli tank shells UN peacekeepers’ observation tower in Lebanon
The Israeli army has again shelled the positions of the U.N. peacekeeping mission in Lebanon, the mission said. As noted, an Israeli tank shelled an observation tower of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), not far from the city of Kfar Kila.
The tank damaged the tower, destroying two video recorders installed on it, according to UNIFIL. The mission called the incident another direct and, most likely, deliberate shelling of peacekeepers’ positions.
