Bloomberg: China is restricting the supply of drone components to the US and Europe
Manufacturers in China recently began limiting sales to the U.S. and Europe of key components used to build unmanned aerial vehicles, Bloomberg reports, citing sources.
Sources described this move as a “prelude” to broader restrictions on the export of drone parts that Western officials expect to come into force in 2025. One source added that these restrictions could affect the approval of licenses.
“The supply restrictions on drones have impacted manufacturers of engines, batteries, and flight control systems in both the U.S. and Europe,” the sources noted.
