Belarus stresses importance of aligning EAEU, CIS, SCO, and BRICS integration potential
Belarus considers the alignment of the integration potential of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO), and BRICS to be of great importance. This statement was made in a message from Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko to the leaders of EAEU member states.
Lukashenko emphasized the priority of continuing work on implementing free trade and trade-economic cooperation agreements signed at the EAEU level with friendly countries.
He noted that efforts should focus on developing the technological potential of member states, promoting joint projects in areas such as information and communication technologies, artificial intelligence, electric transport, and others. Additionally, Lukashenko called for completing the creation of a unified transport space with equal rights for member states and ensuring fair competition.
To remind, on Jan. 1, the EAEU presidency transferred from Armenia to Belarus.
