Trump: I have a tough stance on Russia but a good relationship with Putin

U.S. President Donald Trump has stated that while he maintains a tough stance on Russia, he has a good relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“I have been very tough, but I get along well with Putin,” Trump said in an interview with Fox News, commenting on his position regarding Russia.

Responding to criticisms that he had a “soft” approach toward Russia, Trump noted that during his first term, he imposed numerous sanctions against the country, among other measures. He added that Putin himself could confirm his tough approach toward Russia.
