Russian Foreign Ministry calls on Armenia and Azerbaijan to avoid actions that could escalate situation
Russian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Maria Zakharova said at a press briefing that Russia is monitoring the situation at the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
“We reaffirm our call for Baku and Yerevan to exercise restraint, take steps toward de-escalating tensions, and avoid actions that could lead to a regression in the situation. All emerging issues must be resolved through peaceful, political, and diplomatic means. On our part, we are ready to support our partners in overcoming the disagreements that remain regarding the signing of a peace treaty, the unblocking of transport and economic links, delimitation, and the resolution of humanitarian issues, in accordance with the trilateral agreements of the leaders of Armenia, Russia, and Azerbaijan,” Zakharova stated.
