Putin: We reserve the right to use nuclear weapons against Russia and Belarus in case of aggression

Russia reserves the right to use nuclear weapons in aggression against Belarus, as it is a member of the Union State, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in a permanent session of Russia’s Security Council on nuclear deterrence issues.

“We reserve the right to use nuclear weapons against Russia and Belarus in case of aggression as a member of the Union State,” Putin said.

According to him, all these issues were agreed with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko. During the same meeting, Putin noted that reliable information about the launch of an aerial attack weapon against Russia would lead to a nuclear response.
