New heatwave expected to hit France
France is set to experience another spell of extreme heat from July 28, Le Figaro reports, citing the country’s weather service.
“The highest temperatures are expected on July 29, when temperatures in southwestern regions of the country are forecast to reach 40°C,” Météo-France said in a statement.
This will be the fourth heatwave recorded in France this summer. Weather conditions could further complicate efforts to contain wildfires raging across the country.
