Putin and Trump discuss Tomahawk issue during phone call, says Narishkin
The potential supply of Tomahawk long-range cruise missiles to Ukraine was discussed yesterday during a phone call between the presidents of Russia and the United States, RIA Novosti reports, citing Sergey Narishkin, director of Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service.
“The issue of Tomahawk missiles was at least partially discussed yesterday during a phone conversation between the presidents of Russia and the U.S.,” Narishkin told reporters after a meeting of CIS intelligence chiefs.
Trump had confirmed yesterday that he spoke by phone with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin. The presidents also agreed to meet in Budapest, although no date has been set.
