Trump says productive Armenia–Azerbaijan peace discussions expected in June

US President Donald Trump has said that his administration expects productive discussions on peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan in June, according to a message addressed to participants of the 31st Baku Energy Forum.

The US president stated that regional energy integration is one of the key pillars of the peace summit held in Washington on Aug. 8, 2025.

“When we met at the White House, we took a step forward and achieved long-term peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan. As you know, regional energy integration was one of the main pillars of the historic peace summit on Aug. 8. My administration looks forward to productive discussions on this topic in June,” Trump said.

According to him, the United States and Azerbaijan have a long history of cooperation in the hydrocarbon sector and remain committed to providing affordable and reliable energy supplies.

In conclusion, Trump noted that joint efforts will contribute to peace, expand prosperity, and shape a more secure future for both the region and the world.
