90,000 transport employees striking in Germany

About 90,000 public transport employees have gone on strike in Germany. According to DPA news agency, the movement of buses, trams and metro has been restricted in 80 cities. The trade union has called for a strike.

The demonstration participants demand that working conditions be improved and salaries of the employees of 130 transport companies be increased. The only federal state where there are no strikes is Bavaria.
