A number of countries have called on their citizens in Lebanon to leave the country immediately. The authorities made such statements amid the escalation of the situation in the Middle East.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of France condemned the attack on the Golan Heights and reminded its citizens to postpone trips to Lebanon, Israel and Palestine.
A similar statement was issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway.
“If the security situation deteriorates, it may be extremely difficult to leave the country. In this situation, the possibilities of the Norwegian authorities to provide assistance to its citizens in Lebanon will be limited,” the ministry noted.
Sweden, Canada and Saudi Arabia made similar calls earlier.
