Armenia and Azerbaijan join Magnitsky legislation
Eleven non-EU countries, including Armenia and Azerbaijan,
have joined the EU Council’s Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP), which
imposes sanctions against officials, individuals and organizations responsible
for major violations of human rights. As TASS reports, High Representative of
the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Josep Borrell said this.
EU candidate countries North Macedonia, Montenegro, Albania,
Ukraine, Moldova and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as members of the European
Economic Area, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway, adopted the decision
called the Magnitsky legislation,” Borrell said.
