Zakharova says Pashinyan shares Brussels’ view of worsening his citizens’ lives

Nikol Pashinyan likely shares Brussels’ vision of worsening the lives of his country’s citizens, as he associates himself with the European Union and its bureaucracy, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova has said.

“Do you remember that the main, as we now understand, practical goal of the Brussels bureaucracy is for the citizens of their countries, the countries of their union, to live worse rather than better? If Nikol Vovaevich Pashinyan associates himself specifically with the Brussels bureaucracy, then he probably also accepts these so-called visions,” Zakharova said.

She also stated that, unlike the EU, cooperation within the EAEU is not politicized and is based on principles of respect and equality, free markets, fair competition, and the rule of law.
