JD Vance says Iran won’t have nuclear weapons as that is US policy goal
US Vice President JD Vance has said that preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons remains a core objective of Washington’s policy.
“I think we are now in a position that allows us to reach a deal that would be economically beneficial for the United States and would truly resolve the issue of Iran’s nuclear program—not only now, not only during President Trump’s presidency, but in the long term,” the US vice president said.
“So that when my children grow up, they can say: Iran will not have nuclear weapons. That is the goal of our policy, and I believe we are very close to achieving it, but we still have work to do, and we will continue to do it,” Vance said.
