Iran says it has no plans for talks with US at this time

Iran does not currently plan to hold negotiations with the United States and is focused on strengthening its defensive capabilities, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei said.

“At this time, we have no plans for negotiations and are focused on defense,” Baghaei was quoted as saying by Tasnim news agency.

Baghaei also said that the memorandum of understanding signed between Iran and the United States represents a set of mutual commitments.

According to him, if Washington violates its obligations, Tehran will also “refrain from fulfilling its commitments” and will continue to follow the same principle in the future.
