“Our faith has been taken away from us; for centuries, our Church has taken care of our people, who did not have statehood. Today, the Church has undertaken its mission again. I bow before your will and power. They took away our spirituality and our dignity; I assure you, it is them who will suffer the stigma. Believe me, that day will come. We are obliged to stand in support of the Armenian power; that is our calling; we have enlisted in the Armenian cause, your presence here being the proof. The truth reached out beyond the borders of the country to the Armenian capital and woke all Armenians up. I assure you that this truth will emerge in every home and in every heart, because we believe in that truth and in the future. Thus, let the time of dignity, truth, victory and real peace begin in the life of Armenia,” Professor Gurgen Melikyan said.
