Armen Ashotyan put under house arrest

The court decided to release RPA vice-chairman, political prisoner Armen Ashotyan from custody, placing him under house arrest.

The court also forbade RPA vice-president, political prisoner Armen Ashotyan to have contact with anyone except close relatives. Vahe Dolmazyan set bail at 25 million drams.

It should be noted that political prisoner Armen Ashotyan spent one year and five months in custody.

To remind, according to the Investigative Committee, former Minister of Education and Science Armen Ashotyan is accused of abuse of power and money laundering, which caused serious consequences.
