We will meet in Republic Square at 6:30 p.m.: Archbishop Bagrat summarizes movement until now

Our main trump card is going to be patience. The participants of the march, which started from Republic Square in the morning, returned to the square and summed up the day until 1:30 a.m.

Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan told the participants that they would meet today at 6:30 p.m. in Republic Square. He noted that he has a very important task to do with students.

“I am grateful to the students for heeding our call and going on strike. I am sure that there will be more students on Monday. We won’t get bored; we won’t get tired; we won’t grumble; on the contrary, we will encourage and help each other; we will strive for our goal step by step,” Archbishop Bagrat said from the stage.

He noted that today’s march revealed many distinguished professors, who say one thing and do the opposite.

“For example, today, Davit Gyurjinyan, the rector of Brusov State University, closed the door of the university, forbidding the participation of students in the march. They violated the free will of the students; even an action can be brought  in this regard,” Archbishop Bagrat said.

To remind, the participants of the Tavush for the Homeland movement started the march on May 4 from Kirants village of Tavush Province. Yesterday, May 9, the march reached the capital, Yerevan. It was headed by Archbishop Bagrat Galstanyan.
